Polk Audio Reserve R100 stand speaker test

18/11/2021

Polk Audio has always been famous for building really great sound boxes that it offers at an absolutely friendly price. This is no different for their Reserve family, although only members of the legendary Legend series have pitched a tent over their product range. Get to know the Polk Audio Reserve series, including the smallest R100 speaker stand!

When Polk Audio is almost on its way to the top

The complete product family of Polk Audio Reserve, from which a high-quality home cinema set can be assembled, can be found in a few places in Hungary, including the Home Movie showroom, where our test subjects came from. Of course, Hi-Res certified models are not only suitable for home cinema, in fact! Based on that, we were curious to see the American company in the price range that can be considered a bit peppery from them, what a compact, tripod type offers.

The Reserve series draws directly from the largest Legends already mentioned in our introduction, so you can easily compete not only with your classmates, but also with much more heavily priced competitors. With dimensions of 166x324x260 mm and a weight of 5.5 kg per piece, the Reserve R100 can thus easily be called a bookshelf, although this definition is misleading. So the sound box, which can be purchased in black or white, is really not very big, but it is proportionate and showy, with or without the very stable fabric. Beneath it are the speakers in a classic line-up, the first of which is the 25mm Pinnacle ring tweeter, behind which the company has 40 years of innovative work.
