FiiO CP-13 portable cassette recorder

Although FiiO had hinted in a tweet in December that it was working on a portable cassette player, the Las Vegas launch was hardly what anyone expected.
Recently, We Are Rewind came up with a player reminiscent of the classic Sony Walkman, but it seems they're not the only ones who see the fantasy in a little evocation of the past. FiiO is one of the leading brands in the portable segment with a wide range of headphones, players (DAP) and desktop devices, so they haven't really strayed from the beaten track with the CP-13 project.
The device has been equipped with contemporary features, of course, including buttons for playback, volume control and a headphone input (3.5 mm), a USB-C charging port and a status LED. The built-in battery provides fifteen hours of playback between charges, according to the manufacturer, which is enough to listen to a lot of cassettes.
Unlike its rival, there's no Bluetooth connection, so you can fully maximise the retro experience. The FiiO CP-13 is expected to go on sale in March at a price of around $130.
