ORTOFON 2MR - 2M pickups upgraded

Ortofon's new range is based on the 2M pickups, offering their features in a smaller package, providing greater compatibility with different tonearms.
The Ortofon 2MR models have a lower profile housing, so they can be seamlessly integrated without the need for spacers or modifications to the boom arm to be used. Popular manufacturers (e.g. LINN, REGA or Pro-Ject Audio) offer a number of arms where the VTA is not adjustable, but also where the thickness of the platter made the use of standard 2M cartridges problematic.
The 2MR cartridges have an enclosure height of just fourteen millimetres, three millimetres less than the standard version. The 2MR family features a high-performance four-coil motor system, and split-pole technology minimises eddy current loss, significantly improving the balance between channels.
