REL CLASSIC 99 active subwoofer

The new model, based on the Classic 98, promises not only more power, but also a more finely textured sound experience. The cabinet is made of thirty-two-millimetre-thick panels covered with walnut veneer. The legs are made of aluminium billets. The twelve-inch drive is invisible in operation, but certainly not unnoticeable. A new cap occupies the centre of the hot-pressed paper diaphragm, which not only provides rigidity but also plays a role in musical reproduction. The modified geometry provides greater back and forth movement. The unit is powered by a 450W Class D amplifier, fine-tuned with analogue PerfectFilter filters.
